Seed to Harvest Kickoff

Our Annual Seed to Harvest Kickoff, presented by Independence Title Company, marks the beginning of a fresh season and a new year for Urban Roots! On September 26th we will gather friends for a happy hour fundraiser at The Google Fiber Space to enjoy a few words from our youth leaders, bites from Eden East and Olive & June, signature drinks by Juiceland, Hops & Grain, Duchman Family Winery, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and GEM&BOLT Mezcal, tunes by DJ Chorizo Funk, a giveaway, and other fun.

Farm Open House

Come visit the farm and hear what’s going on this season at our next Open House. Come spend a part of your Saturday on the Urban Roots farm to hear a few words from our young leaders, enjoy some snacks, and get an insider’s farm tour. This event is completely free and open to all — it’s the perfect experience whether it’s your first time on the farm or you already know the scoop and just want to enjoy some time with the Urban Roots family. Tour de Farm is Austin’s most unique nonprofit celebration, which combines our fresh produce and some of the city’s top chefs to raise money for the city’s young leaders. Through this event, we are reminded that Urban Roots is so much more than a farm - it’s a vibrant community! Offering farm-inspired cocktails, one unforgettable meal, youth stories, and fresh-from-the-farm tastings, 2018 Tour de Farm raised over $130,000 to support the youth who spend time at Urban Roots learning to grow food while growing as leaders.
