Over the past six years, Tour de Farm has become a transformational evening of giving that makes Urban Roots possible. This event started as a Bar Mitzvah project (Thank you Eli!) and evolved into a powerful fundraiser to support this work to empower youth and nourish the community. Urban Roots’ Tour de Farm is the most unique non-profit event in Austin, combining our farm-fresh produce and the city’s top chefs to raise money for Austin’s young leaders.
Through this event, we are reminded that Urban Roots is so much more than a farm– Urban Roots is a beautiful community. 2018 Tour de Farm combined an unforgettable meal, farm-influenced cocktails, youth stories, and fresh-from-the-farm tastings, all while raising over $130,000 to support the youth who spend time with Urban Roots learning to grow food while growing as leaders!
