Urban Roots Food Access Partners

Each year, Urban Roots dedicates at least 75% of our harvest for food access projects and donations to local food banks, community kitchens, and other organizations supporting food justice in Austin. What’s more, our youth leaders volunteer at these same organizations to learn first-hand about hunger and food access issues in Central Texas while discovering their own ability to make a difference. In the 2021-2022 program year, Urban Roots distributed over 24,000 pounds of produce back to the Austin community!
