Where to find fall Urban Roots veggies

Thank you to all who supported Urban Roots through purchasing a veggie share during our last farming season (Fall 2020 through Summer 2021). We hope you enjoyed the fresh bounty of the farm. And we hope you know that your support enables us to do so much more than grow great food. Because of you, we were able to continue our youth leadership programs and increase our food donations to Austinites facing barriers to accessing fresh, healthy food.

This new farm season, we’re focusing even more on growing food with the help of the youth and community for those in need. We plan to use 75% of the food we grow for food access or youth programs, with a small amount set aside for wholesale. That means that we won’t be offering weekly veggie shares this year, like we have previously.

If you’re still interested in getting hold of Urban Roots veggies, volunteers for the Community Crew can earn a share of 5-10 lbs. of fresh vegetables, distributed when they become available. Learn more about the Community Crew volunteer opportunity here.

We plan to be back at the farmers’ market next summer with our youth interns. Sign up for our newsletter and follow us on social media to get the latest info on our Community Crew, youth programs and farmer’s market plans.

We’ll be selling some of our veggies to these larger companies in town. You never know, you might be eating something we grew!
