May is bike Month! Urban Roots is excited to be partnering with Ghisallo to share this spring’s bounty with our neighbors! During the month of May, Urban Roots and Ghisallo pledge to donate produce to 20 families each week and deliver on bikes to those facing food insecurity. Join us in our pledge to get Wheelie Good Farm Shares to our neighbors by donating to help cover costs for these veggie shares!
20 families from our neighboring community facing food insecurity will be receiving a FREE vegetable produce share freshly harvested by our community crew and Food and Leadership fellows each week. Ghisallo will provide FREE delivery to those families each week on bikes! Every donation – no matter the size – helps Urban Roots continue our mission to grow youth leaders and nourish our community!
Underserved and vulnerable community members are experiencing low food security and COVID-19 has exacerbated that need. Last year Urban Roots donated over 20,000 lbs of food to our vulnerable neighbors, and we’re planning to donate even more in 2021! Give to Urban Roots today to help us nourish more hungry neighbors during this critical time!
