April Updates From the Farm

Though the last chills of winter delayed us, we’ve been busy seeding and planting on the farms this past month. Thanks to the community crew, the Young Men’s Service league, and our Food and Leadership fellows, we were able to build a deer fence to protect our crops from furry neighbors. We weeded and trellised our South Austin farm orchard and implemented watering systems for our budding crops. Our hard working farm team also tended to our bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and watermelon on the East Austin farm. We can’t wait to share even more with our community as more crops are ready to harvest in early May!
