Since we are unable to conduct our regularly scheduled youth programming as a result of COVID-19, it’s vitally important that we shift our immediate focus to the farm and maximize our efforts to grow food for the community. Urban Roots has focused on ways to support our restaurant partners, like Suerte, by providing fresh produce to their employees in an effort to nourish the community. Urban Roots Executive Director Max Elliot met with Suerte Owner Sam Hellman-Mass to talk about how they have been affected by COVID-19.
Suerte made the incredibly difficult decision to temporarily close.
