Seemingly overnight, businesses are grappling with how to stay afloat in this extremely difficult time. Urban Roots Executive Director Max Elliot invited Lick Honest Ice Creams co-owners Anthony Sobotik and Chad Palmatier to the farm to talk about how COVID-19 is affecting their ice cream business.
It is encouraging to see business owners like Lick! doing all they can to support their staff and the surrounding community. Support farm-to-scoop partners like Lick! All 4 locations are scooping until further notice, and pints are available at Wheatsville Co-Op, Whole Foods and locations all over Austin.
Take Action: Over the past couple of weeks, many restaurant, bar and other service industry workers suddenly lost their jobs. We urge you to call your representative and senators and insist that help be given to not only big corporations but also to independent businesses! #toosmalltofail
