It’s that time of year again! Applications for our South Austin Internship are now open. If you live in or attend high school in South/Southeast Austin and want to spend time with other youth and community members who are shaping the future of our new farm in Dove Springs, then we want you to apply!
This paid program focuses on community engagement with other organizations, community leaders, and residents in South Austin. From October 9th to May 7th, we’ll meet every Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. online and in-person every Saturday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
You can expect to meet a lot of people while exploring conversations around equitable food access and participating in the development of our new farm. Throughout the internship, you will build leadership and public speaking skills while we meet with residents virtually, at parks, on the farm, or at events hosted by partner organizations. You will also spend plenty of time bonding with your fellow interns while playing games, eating together, and learning about each other.
We want the new farm to be a reflection of the stories that make up the South Austin community, and that means we want to hear from YOU!
