Urban Roots is excited to announce our volunteer dates for our Fall season. Volunteering starts back up again on September 29th; sign up here! If you end up on the East Austin farm, you’ll be able to check out our new High Tunnel. We hope to see you on the farm!
We are also now accepting applications for our Community Ambassador Program, an all new program that will run from September 13th – December 14th, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.! This program will offer hands-on farm experience; the opportunity to lead volunteers; food access education; harvest, seedling, and materials sharing; the ability to assist with food access donations; a monthly lunch and learn; and more! This is a part-time, seasonal, unpaid volunteer position. Community Ambassadors will receive training in sustainable agriculture and in Urban Roots’ unique volunteer coordination/leadership techniques. Ambassadors will also receive a full share in our Spring 2022 CSA, as well as a letter of recommendation upon completion of the program.
