We’d love to have your student or community group out to the farm this season, please click the link to request a tour or read on for more information below.

Urban Roots offers age-appropriate Educational Farm Tours for groups of students and community members. Led by Urban Roots staff and/or Food & Leadership Fellows, Educational Farm Tours include a tour of our sustainable farm with educational content that include:

We are currently booked through July! To request a tour for August or later, please complete this form (same as the link at the top of the page), including your preferred tour options, dates, times, number of participants, and the age range of the participants. We will process your request and email you with follow-up as soon as possible. Tours are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

Group Size, Age, and Cost

Children must be 4 years or older to participate in an Educational Farm Tour.

For example, a group of 35 4th grade students would need 5 adult chaperones and 2 Urban Roots tour guides. The cost of the tour would be $120, or free for Title I schools.

For larger groups and other requests, please contact us! We are happy to work with special requests whenever possible. In many cases it is possible to schedule tours back-to-back or across multiple days so that all students can attend.

Please note that group sizes do not include adult chaperones. Adult chaperones are responsible for actively participating with their students and managing their students’ behavior.
