The Urban Roots farm is located in East Austin near the intersection of Bolm Road and 183. Due to ongoing construction on highway 183, travel to the farm may take longer than anticipated. Please allow ample time for your commute. Please check for road closures & detours prior to traveling out to the farm: 183 South Construction Project
Headed South on 183: Follow signs for Levander Loop and u-turn toward 183 North. On 183 North, turn Right onto Smith Rd. and follow directions below titled “From Smith Rd.”
Headed North on 183: Just north of the bridge that crosses Bolm Rd, turn Right onto Smith Rd. and follow directions below titled “From Smith Rd.”
Take the first available left onto Howard, proceed parallel to 183 N. Do not turn into the neighborhood, there is no way out or through. Continue on the dirt road parallell to 183N. The road veers to the right and turns into Shelton Road. When you reach a Y, veer left onto Delwau Ln. Cross Boggy Creek and in 500 yards you will see a gated driveway and the Urban Roots Farm sign on your right.
A recent bike trail has been built linking Govalle Park to our farm (to the East YMCA). Please click here for a link to the map. You will be able to go under 183 on this trail. After going under 183, take the next exit ramp onto Delwau Lane and continue east on Delwau Lane until you see our farm. Our farm is on the south side of the trail.
When you arrive to the farm you will see signs directing you to park on the street. Please observe signage and park as far onto the shoulder of the road as possible. (We need to ensure accessibility for large trucks and emergency vehicles.)
