Good news for all of our farm-loving cyclists! Thanks to the generosity of Movability and the talented craftsmanship of the folks at Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, we have a new bicycle rack at our Eastside farm on Delwau Lane. The farm connects directly to the Southern Walnut Creek Trail, which makes riding to the farm both safe and fun. Before the rack was installed cyclers were forced to prop their bicycles against trees or lay them on the ground. No more willy-nilly parking! The rack, which can store up to eight bicycles, will be housed under a tent for extra protection.
Along with our thanks to both of these organizations, the Urban Roots team would like to celebrate their commitment to the community. Movability is leading a culture shift to stress-free, affordable commute options. And the Ghisallo team envisions a community of comfortable and confident lifelong riders, who, no matter their ages or abilities, can explore and connect with their communities by bicycle, all at an affordable cost.
