Urban Roots is now accepting applications for the Spring 2022 Food & Leadership Fellowship! The Food and Leadership Fellowship is a paid, hands-on leadership development opportunity for young people ages 17 to 23 on the Urban Roots farm. Fellows will learn how to grow thousands of pounds of sustainable produce while growing core professional development skills and completing an in-depth service project with a hunger relief partner in Austin. Youth will also deepen their understanding of food justice.
The Spring 2022 session will start on February 8, 2022 and last through May 20, 2022. Fellows work Tuesday – Friday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in person on the farm and earn $12/hour.
