A Bustling Spring at Urban Roots

Spring has been lively and fruitful for Urban Roots! Our annual fundraising event, Tour de Farm, went well, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped and participated. We really couldn’t do what we do without everyone who supports us. Other than that, we’ve been increasing our shares as we have begun our harvesting season with onions, cilantro, radish, spinach, and have things like potatoes, beets, and carrots ready to be harvested soon. In other exciting news, our open volunteer days have returned to greet the warming spring to summer weather. Additionally, we’re pleased to share that the Food and Leadership Fellowship and South Austin Intern programs have finished. We’re so proud of the hard work and growth of the youth! Read our blog post to learn about what they’ve been up to here. Last but not least, Urban Roots is excited to announce that we’re returning to farmer markets this summer, check out more about it here. To read our newsletter covering all of this, follow the link here.
