Over the last year, we have been asking some big hairy questions, such as “What is the purpose of Urban Roots?” and “What makes our work transformative?”
After dozens of interviews and focus groups with youth, alumni and their parents, supporters and volunteers, we are thrilled to present our new strategic plan that will guide us through the next three years.
Through this participatory process we are doubling down on leadership (volunteers, staff, and the youth leaders we serve), honoring and respecting diversity, and engaging more youth leaders. And we’re already launching our newest program this fall — the Food & Leadership Fellowship for college-aged young people. And so much more!
As always, we invite you to come grow with us– and we would love to hear what you think.
